Stamp and Seal Repair
- Refilling and replacing stamp pads.
- Minor repairs and technical condition (wear) assessment.
- Re-mounting the rubber plate (cliché).
- Restoration of lost or worn stamps from an impression sample (if possible).
Re-mounting the Cliché on the Stamp Body (Holder)
The service includes:
- replacement of the impression label under the transparent protective cap;
- inspection of the stamp body (defect check) to assess plastic wear;
- assessment of the stamp pad condition (impact of the previous rubber relief);
- free refill with special inks, if required;
- cleaning and washing of the rubber plate and stamp body, if required.
Cliché Replacement
Users can replace the cliché themselves, but for a better-quality result we recommend having it done by a professional stamp workshop.
The existing stamp pad may “retain” the relief of the original cliché, so for a clean, high-quality impression it is usually recommended to replace the pad with a new one.
If you do not require a high-quality impression every time, you may keep the existing pad to save costs.
After refilling the pad with ink, it should be allowed to absorb and distribute the ink evenly (this depends on wear level and service life).
If the stamp is heavily worn, full restoration may not be possible, because part of the text or image may no longer appear clearly in the impression.
